The intention of the 14th International Congress of ESCAP was to cover medical, psychological, sociological, nursing and educational perspectives on a high level.
The congress theme at Helsinki was: 'Hope for bright futures' and the joint challenge of participating professionals was to inform or be informed about recent research in child and adolescent psychiatry, and to work on integrating research into policy and practice. The Congress was very successful, withmore than 700 scientific contributions and around 1350 participants from 52 countries.
